Vietnam

Vietnam’s riveting history is reason enough to visit this country, though on arrival travellers soon become wooed by the enigmatic culture, a blend of welcoming Southeast Asia affection and stern Chinese authority. In the northern capital of Hanoi visitors are taken away by the admirable French architecture, centred about peaceful lakes and winding alleyways that yearn to be explored. Just a few hours’ drive from Hanoi, Halong Bay presents a seascape of rising karsts, the perfect place to enjoy an overnight cruise.

With such an extensive coastline it is no wonder that Vietnam is home to some of Asia’s best coastal resorts. Sublime beaches compliment the historical towns of Hue and the ever developing Danang. In the south Ho Chi Minh City dazzles to the sound of mopeds. Rooftop bars overlook a beautiful city that reaches as far as the Mekong Delta, where a world of waterways and floating villages invites you to explore.
