Kutai National Park Adventure 5D4N

Day 1: Upon arrival at Sepinggan airport, meeting service and transfer to Loajanan that will take about two and half hours driving: Here, we will our house boat that will take us on an exiting Mahakam river cruise. Meals and overnight on the boat.

Day 2: After our breakfast on the boat, we'll stop at Muara Muntai to observe local people way of life at the wooden villages. Then, we'll continue the trip by motorized canoe over Jempang Lake on the way to the Ohong river with its beautiful and lively river banks life. We will head Mancong where we'll be welcomed by a ceremony performed by the Dayak Banuaq tribe in front of their traditional long house. Afterwards, we'll get back to the house boat and will cruise down to Tenggarong. Lunch box, dinner and overnight on the boat.

Day 3: After breakfast on the boat, we will visit the local market, the Royal Cemetery and the Museum of Kutai Kertanegara, formerly the Sultan Palace. Afterwards, we'll return to the boat and we will cruise down river heading Loajanan. After lunch, we will drive for about 2 hours to reach the Kutai National Park. Night trek is available to go discover the jungle night life. Meals and overnight at the Camp.

Day 4: After breakfast, we'll start our trekking to go observe the orang utans around the lodge. Many other animals of the Borneo region, such as proboscis monkeys and wild pigs can be seen at the Kutai National Park, which is largest park in Indonesia that is dedicated to conservation and protection of the orang, who still all live here in the wild. After our trekking, we'll return to the camp for lunch. Trekking can be done in the late afternoon again. We will then go to Samarinda. Meals provided.

Day 5: Breakfast at the lodge and free time to explore the premises. We will then return to Balikpapan to go straight to the airport to catch a flight to the next destination.
