Travelling to Singapore - What you need to know before flying
18/11/2021
TRAVELLING TO SINGAPORE
Fully vaccinated guests who wish to enter Singapore via VTL (Vaccinated Travel Lane) will be required to meet specific criteria including applying for a Vaccinated Travel Pass prior to arrival (60 to 7 days before arrival in Singapore) and booking a dedicated VTL flight amongst others (check section D at this link). For more information and updates regarding travel guidelines to Singapore, please refer to this website. We encourage all guests to check again prior to travel, as the regulations are updated regularly.
Find out more about countries under the Vaccinated Travel Lanes (VTL) scheme here. The current accepted vaccine by Singapore can be found here.
Learn more about the current local safe distancing measures requirements during your stay in Singapore here.
COVID 19 Insurance with minimum coverage of S$30,000.00 is mandatory for all international short-term visitors to Singapore. Some hotels provide complimentary insurance and we will advise at time of quoting.
TEST BEFORE DEPARTURE
A pre-departure test within 48 hours before departing to Singapore with negative test result is requested before departing for Singapore.
TEST UPON ARRIVAL
All travellers, except those aged two and below in this calendar year (i.e. a child who turns 2 in this calendar year), should register and pre-pay for their on-arrival COVID-19 PCR test here. The test costs S$125 including GST. Failing which, travellers will pay for the test on the spot during arrival, and should expect additional delays in the administration of the test and departure from the checkpoint.
TRANSPORTATION FROM CHANGI AIRPORT TO HOTEL
In accordance with government guidelines, guests arriving on the VTL should only take private transportation (not trains or buses) to the declared accommodation. We provide this service.
SELF ISOLATION
All travellers must self-isolate at their declared accommodation until they receive a negative COVID-19 PCR test result (likely within 24 hours). More information can be found through this VTL checklist at https://safetravel.ica.gov.sg/vtl/travel-checklist. The list of hotels that accept passengeres under VTL can be found at Singapore Hotel Association :: Safe Pass Traveller Hotels (sha.org.sg).
